Facebook Testing New Audio Feature for Groups

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has issued an explanatory statement on the news of the opening of offices of Facebook, the world's largest social networking site in the country.

Facebook is testing new audio functionality for Groups. Facebook revealed in a blog post that the firm is testing audio channels, which will bring voice chats akin to Discord to Groups.

Audio features for Facebook Groups with rooms already exist. Audio channels, like Discord, are designated areas where group members can speak with each other at any time, in contrast to that function, which is intended for one-time audio chats.

One of the numerous modifications the social network is testing is the change. The business is also experimenting with other kinds of “channels,” which are effectively smaller versions of each Facebook Group where users can talk about particular subjects.

Additionally, Facebook is developing a new sidebar that will increase the prominence of all users’ Groups within its app (and have dedicated shortcuts for creating new channels).

The business plans to gradually push out the modifications to additional users, but for the time being all of these capabilities are tests that will only be accessible to a restricted subset of customers.

As Facebook plans more significant modifications for its main app, the updates are being made. The business is developing a more comprehensive makeover that would centre users’ feeds more on AI-driven recommendations than their current social networks.

When the app’s main feed changes, the new sidebar is designed to make sure that Groups stay visible and simple to access.
