Twitter is taking steps to streamline in-app commerce.

With the introduction of a new partnership with Shopify, Twitter hopes to take a further step toward streamlined in-app commerce.

This partnership will allow Shopify merchants to list their products on their Twitter Professional Profiles, with each item, when clicked, directing users to the Shopify product page to complete the transaction.

Twitter explained:

“When people visit a profile with the Shop Spotlight enabled, they can scroll through the carousel of products and tap through on a single product to learn more and purchase seamlessly in an in-app browser, without having to leave Twitter.”

These shopping capabilities include a carousel of products displayed on your profile and/or a separate product display page, both of which are now connected to Shopify and have real-time listings that match your Shopify inventory.
