To make it simpler to find details and tickets for live events near you, Spotify has enhanced its previous Concert Hub and added new features to it.
The streaming service uses its ticketing partners, including Ticketmaster, AXS, DICE, Eventbrite, and See Tickets, to provide listings for the hub, now named Live Events Feed.
The Concert Hub assisted users in locating at-home or studio performances, podcast recordings, and other online performances during the height of COVID-19 lockdowns. As it turns out, Spotify was also researching consumer behavior at the time.
Spotify has spent the last two years researching the music industry and its consumers, according to Sam Sheridan, Product Manager for Live Events Discovery.
Fans would interact with musicians on the platform and then exit to look up concert listings or follow them on social media to remain up to speed on any forthcoming tour dates.
This was one of the most significant behaviors the firm identified. We believe that the Live Events Feed presents a chance to close this loop, according to Sheridan.
