According to the upcoming budget, Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Imam ul Haq, Hassan Ali and Muhammad Rizwan will get two separate PCB central contracts 2022-23 for featuring both white-ball and red-ball formats of Pakistan.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is set to announce its budget for the financial year 2022-23 in the 69th meeting of the Board of Governors (BoG) meeting, scheduled here on June 23.
In a high-profile meeting with the BoG members, PCB’s chairman Ramiz Raja, COO Salman Naseer, and CFO Javed Murtaza will present the financial budget for 2022-23.

- 25-30% increase in the retainer of players recommended.
The agenda for the meeting also includes reports and updates from the BoG committee, the demarcation of CCAs and approval of affiliation regulations, approval of the age verification policy, and updates from all departments, including cricket and commercial.
The PCB chief will conduct a press conference on Friday, June 24, to discuss the conclusions of the BoG meeting.
After the annual budget has been approved, central players’ contracts will reportedly be published this week.
According to reports, the PCB would award separate contracts for ODI and Test matches for the first time in history.
Those playing all three formats regularly of the game will get two contracts and the list includes captain Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Mohammad Rizwan, Imam-ul-Haq, and Hassan Ali.
