In the United States, Samsung’s latest foldable, the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3, are both receiving a software upgrade that includes eSIM functionality as well as Dual SIM, Dual Standby (DSDS).
The updated firmware builds for the T-Mobile Galaxy Z Fold3 and F711USQU2DVEE for the T-Mobile Galaxy Z Flip3 are F926USQU1DVEE and F711USQU2DVEE, respectively, while the unlocked variants are F926U1UEU1DVEE and F711U1UEU2DVEE.
Hopefully, the distribution will soon be expanded to include additional carrier versions.
As is customary, updates may be delivered in phases, so it may take a few days (or longer) for every unit in the wild to receive the notification.
Dual-SIM functionality is available with eSIM support, allowing you to use one physical SIM and one eSIM at the same time via DSDS.
The latest updates also include a slew of new photography features, many of which were originally seen on the Galaxy S22 series. You’ll also get the security patches for June 2022.
