In India and a few other countries, the price of an Apple Music subscription for students has gone up. As a result of the upgrade, college students in India will be charged Rs. 59 per month to access Apple’s music streaming service.
Regular Apple Music subscriptions, on the other hand, have not been changed and continue to cost Rs. 99 per month.
Apple sent an email to its student subscribers informing them of the change. Student membership to Apple Music is said to give them access to 90 million songs and over 30,000 expert-curated playlists.
The service’s bundled offers are identical to those offered by Apple to its regular customers under the Individual plan.
Apple Music membership pricing for students has been updated on the company’s official website. It states that the service costs Rs. 59 per month. This is a more than 20% increase above the previous monthly charge of Rs. 49.
According to MacRumors, the move is not only for Indian students, but also for student subscribers in other countries. Australia, Indonesia, Israel, Kenya, Malaysia, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, and the Philippines are among the countries involved.
Despite the change, Apple continues to offer a student membership at a discounted rate compared to the normal Individual plan, which costs Rs. 99 per month in India.
Apple Music Family plan costs Rs. 149 a month and gives you access to the service for up to six people. Furthermore, Apple Music Voice is available for Rs. 49 per month.
