Pakistan to establish Pavilion on TikTok to Promote Trade

Moin ul Haque, Pakistan’s ambassador to China, met with Lu Hongjun, president of the China Asian Economic Development Association Urban Cooperation Committee (CAEDA- UCC), and praised CAEDA’s proactive role in strengthening bilateral trade ties and promoting Pakistan’s high-quality products in both offline and online markets in China.

He also voiced his belief that the proposed Pakistani national pavilions in Beijing and on TikTok will serve as potential platforms for promoting trade, commercial expansion, cultural promotion, and people-to-people exchanges between the two iron brothers.

Lu Hongjun expressed gratitude to the Ambassador for his unwavering support for the establishment of Pakistan’s national pavilions and the promotion of trade relations between the two sister countries.

“We have signed a letter of collaboration with the Chinese business association to construct Pakistan’s online pavilion on the extremely popular Chinese social media platform TikTok, which is now fostering trade links with a number of nations,” Ambassador Haque told APP.

He stated that the online pavilion, which is the first national pavilion of any country on TikTok, will aid in the promotion of Pakistani products in China.

According to Ambassador Haque, trade between our two countries will grow at a rapid pace in the next years.

“China is Pakistan’s largest trading partner already. We experienced a record increase in Pakistani exports to China last year, and agro, food, leather, and textile items are now quite popular in China,” he added.

He expressed optimism that these platforms, which have millions of Chinese followers and are widely used for purchasing in China, will be a great way to promote our culture and exports.

Finally, Ambassador Haque and President Lu signed a Letter of Cooperation to legally start the process of establishing Pakistani national pavilions in China.
