Train tickets would be discounted by up to 30% for passengers traveling over the upcoming Eid Holidays, according to Pakistan Railways.
According to a recent report, the agency has also decreased Thal Express tariffs, which it recently resumed with private sector assistance. This train travels between Rawalpindi and Multan. It has also lowered fares for the Sir Syed Express, which runs from Karachi to Rawalpindi, by 40%.

They also stated that the department had a deficit of roughly Rs. 20 billion in the first half of the current fiscal year, in addition to an amount surpassing Rs. 130 billion.
Sources were added. Pakistan Railways has started implementing a multi-pronged strategy to address the financial crisis and improve service to its customers.
