The No-Confidence Motion against Imran Khan’s government was successful, and it would have a significant influence on practically all government departments.
Despite being a unanimous body, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is poised to undergo a number of high-profile changes.
The PCB’s Patron-in-Chief is Pakistan’s Prime Minister, and sources say Ramiz Raja will be replaced by Najam Sethi, the board’s former chairman.
A number of directors, including the Chairman, are likely to lose their seats if PML-N leader Shehbaz Sharif is elected Prime Minister.
Najam Sethi, who has served as PCB Chairman three times, is the favorite for the position; however, it is unclear whether Ramiz Raja would be expelled by the new government or will voluntarily quit.
In either event, the incoming premier will name a candidate for the position, and Najam Sethi is a strong contender.
