It’s been rumored for a long time that Samsung will release the all-new Galaxy S22 around the end of January, while the Galaxy Tab S8 series was first rumored to be released alongside the Galaxy S21 FE and is now rumored to be released alongside the Galaxy S22 flagship series. This debate, however, has now come to a close.

The final and confirmed launch date of the Galaxy S22 and Tab S8 series has been revealed by @IceUniverse, a well-known Chinese blogger and reliable information source (renowned for his Samsung leaks).

According to the blogger, Samsung’s new Galaxy S22 and Tab S8 series will be unveiled on February 9 at 11:00 p.m. (Chinese time) at the UNPACKED event.

In his most recent Weibo post, the blogger didn’t say much more than the launch date and hour.

According to prior reports, the new Galaxy S22 series would include the Exynos 2200 chipset, which was developed in partnership with AMD (a well-known GPU and SoC manufacturer), as well as the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 flagship chipset.

However, according to the sources, the Exynos version may be limited to a few locations (unlike last year), while the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 version would be more widely available.

Samsung’s new flagship model is expected to be released later this year than expected. The Galaxy S21 series was released last year in January 2021, and the Tab S7 series was released in August 2020. We’ll have to wait for more leaks or the launch event to get the entire specifications sheet.
