In a mobile application, if we talk about an app that introduces some other update or feature to its users every other day, then WhatsApp will probably be at the top of the list. WhatsApp always works on new features whether small or large.
WhatsApp provides end-to-end encryption to chats and calls to protect users’ security and privacy. Thanks to which your messages are always protected between you and the recipients. However, WhatsApp’s parent company Meta can read and listen to these messages.
Now a team of WhatsApp developers is working on a new visual feature of end-to-end encryption in Android and iOS versions.
WhatsApp wants you to believe that it is a secure platform where you can communicate freely with your loved ones and friends.
This feature will be included in an upcoming update called End to End Encryption Indicators.
Screenshots of this feature released for the Google Play Beta version show that WhatsApp will add these new indicators to the ‘Status and Calls’ section. This notice may also be added to the chat section.
This new visual enhancement is still in development and will be included in a new update coming soon.
What is end-to-end encryption?
End-to-end encryption is a system of two-way communication where only people who communicate with each other can see, hear and read this message.
For example, your data is protected with a lock and the recipient of the message has a special key (s) to read the message, so no one other than the person/persons can send the message.
