Pakistan Thrashes Bangladesh After Interesting Contest

Pakistan won the second Test match after a very interesting contest and also made a clean sweep in the Test series.

On the fourth day of the match, Pakistan declared their first innings at 300 for 4 while by the end of the game the hosts had scored 76 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.

Today, on the last day of the game, Bangladesh started the innings, it needed to reach 101 to avoid the follow-on, but the Bengal Tigers could add only 11 runs to their previous day’s score.

In just six overs, Sajid Khan and Shaheen Shah Afridi guided the other three Bangladesh batsmen to the pavilion, leaving the hosts with a 213-run deficit.

Spinner Sajid Khan, who took 6 wickets while bowling brilliantly yesterday, continued his superb bowling today and hit Tejul Islam in his first over, while Shaheen Shah Afridi also bowled Khalid Ahmed in the next over.

Shakib Al Hasan was the last batsman to be dismissed after Azhar Ali was caught by Sajid Khan off Bangladesh’s highest score of 33 runs.

It should be noted that due to rain and bad light, only 63.2 overs of play was possible in the first three days.

After winning the first Test match played in Chittagong by 8 wickets, Pakistan has a 1-0 lead in the two-match series.
