Two years after the evolution of the corona virus, the world is trying to compete with a new variant of the corona virus that is more dangerous than the corona virus which has caused a wave of infectious disease in almost all continents of the world.

The World Health Organization (WHO) panel has dubbed the variant ‘Omicron’ and classified it as a rapidly transmitting virus, according to a report by the foreign news agency AP. Yes, this is the same type of previously prevalent virus Delta variant, whose cases are still emerging in Europe and the United States and it is causing deaths.

“It seems to be spreading very fast,” said US President Joe Biden.

The virus appeared in the United States after the lifting of sanctions and the celebration of a return to normalcy, in which it was thought that the lives of vaccinators had returned to normal.

Announcing the new travel ban, Biden said: “I have decided we will be careful.

The World Health Organization (WHO) said in a statement that it did not yet know how dangerous Omicron would be, but preliminary evidence suggests it could increase the risk of re-infection compared to other transmitted viruses.

“People who have recovered from the corona virus may be infected,” he said.

The UN health agency says it will take weeks to determine whether existing vaccines are effective against it.

Following the diagnosis of the virus in South Africa, the joint European Union, hosted by the United States, Canada, Russia and other countries, has banned travelers from the region, a new addition to the variant infection.

The White House says the United States will impose a travel ban on the South, and other countries will impose the same ban on Monday.

Other experts, including the WHO, have warned of a possible reaction to the virus after it was studied.

More than 5 million deaths have been recorded worldwide due to the corona virus.

“We need to take action as soon as possible,” said Sajid Javed, the UK’s health secretary.

Omecron has so far been diagnosed in travelers from Belgium, Hong Kong and Israel, as well as from South Africa, with South African experts saying the cause of the virus and the severity of the disease have not yet been determined.

Another global epidemic is threatening stocks in Asia, the United States and Europe.

Mr Biden said the UK, European countries and other countries had imposed travel bans since Friday, while responding to a question on travel bans in the US.

On the other hand, the President of the European Commission Arsila von said that the flights will be suspended until we are aware of its dangers and quarantine will be imposed on the returning passengers.

“The European Union is the first country to declare this virus and we do not know how dangerous it is,” said Belgian Health Minister Frank Vanderbrook.

Leading US infectious disease specialist Dr Anthony Faucci told CNN that the Omicron case has not yet been diagnosed in the US, possibly due to a faster transmission and a vaccine than other variants.

Experts say the assessment of this variant shows how rich countries stockpile vaccines and pose a global threat.

It should be noted that about 6% of people in Africa have been fully vaccinated against corona virus, while millions of medical workers and other citizens have not yet received a single dose of corona virus.

The African Center for Health has condemned travel bans on countries where the new variant has been identified, saying the travel ban is illogical.

The United States will impose sanctions on other African countries, including South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Namibia.
