The release date of the telefilm ‘Ek Hai Nigar’, based on the efforts of the first female lieutenant-general of the Pakistan Army, Nigar Johar, has been announced.
In ‘Ek Hai Nigar’, Mahira Khan will appear on the screen as the first female lieutenant-general of the Pakistan Army, Nigar Johar.
The teaser for the telefilm was released in August this year and it was speculated that the telefilm would be released in September.
However, now the film team has announced its date and it will be released on October 23 this month.
Posts on social media by the TV channel that broadcast it, including Mahira Khan and telefilm producer Nina Kashif, confirmed that ‘Ek Hai Nigar’ will be aired by the end of this month.
The posts said that the telefilm will be aired on ARY Digital on October 23 at 8 pm.
The story of ‘Ek Hai Nigar’ has been written by well-known writer Umairah Ahmed while it has been directed by Adnan Sarwar.
While Mahira Khan will appear in the telefilm as a military woman, she is also her co-producer.
‘Ek Hai Nigar’ is co-produced by Nina Kashif and Mahira Khan and will be released under the banner of ‘Civil Fry’ Production House.
Bilal Abbas will be seen playing the role of Mahira Khan’s husband in the telefilm.
Mahira Khan was featured as a general reporter in the teasers of ‘Ek Hai Nigar’, while a teaser also highlighted her marriage and joining the Pakistan Army.
‘Ek Hai Nigar’ tells the story of Lt. Gen. Nigar Johar’s life and career and was mostly shot at the Army Medical College in Rawalpindi, but the telefilm was also shot in other areas, including Abbottabad.
