According to Shoaib Adil, Divisional Superintendent, Railways, the employees who have been banned from using smartphones include train drivers, assistant train drivers, station masters, assistant station masters, and gatekeepers.
He said the move was aimed at ensuring the safety of passengers’ lives and property.
According to the officials, strict action will be taken against the violating employees.
