Leading porn sites are promoting sexually explicit videos to attract new users, according to a new study from the UK.

The study is published in the latest issue of the British Journal of Criminology.

According to research, one in eight of the videos advertised to attract new users to these websites is related to sexual violence.

The study looked at more than 30,000 videos and articles written on three of them, including the popular porn website Porn Hub.

According to experts, the text written with these videos contained so much material about rape, physical violence and ‘incest’ that it is very ‘worrying’ for them.

However, these websites have disagreed with the research and have stated that they delete illegal content.

The researchers took screen shots every three hours during the six months from 2017 to 2018 on these three websites for their research.

In this study, experts focused on the details and titles attached to the videos, rather than on the content of the videos.

In this regard, they searched for the material with words that, according to the World Health Organization, fall under the category of “sexual violence.”

The study found that:

  1. The titles of more than 8,000 videos were about physically abusive or forced sexual acts.
  2. About 3,000 headlines were about sexual violence.
  3. There were 5,785 videos with headlines about ‘sexual activity between members of the same family’.
  4. The reason for choosing these three websites is that these three websites are the most popular porn websites in the UK.

This content is visible to any new user as soon as they visit the website and is immediately available to them without any charge or confirmation of their age.

Of all the data obtained for this study, the most commonly used word was ‘teen’, which was used in 7.7% of the videos.

But in videos that featured details about sexual violence, the use of the word ‘tan’ increased to 8.5 percent.

Rules and regulations:

Two of these websites have written in their rules and regulations that they do not allow the publication of any video on their website that depicts rape, sexual abuse of children, incest or forced sexual acts.

The third website says it does not allow any content that is “illegal, threatening, violent, harassing or hateful.”

MindGeek, the company that owns Porn Hub, recently deleted millions of e-videos from its websites that could not be verified by the users who published them. However, the videos that the company has allowed to remain on its website have been defended.

“Adults have a desire to have consensual sex with each other, and we welcome all kinds of hobbyists to our website,” said a Porn Hub spokesperson.

Last week, Porn Hub published a report on transparency for the first time in its history, stating that it had removed more than 6.5 million videos from the website for violating its rules.

Fiona Vera Gray, the co-author of the study, says that “sexually explicit videos make forced sex attractive and blur the line between sexual pleasure and sexual violence.”
