Work on the construction of Mohmand Dam in the integrated tribal district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is in full swing. The construction of the dam will generate 800 MW of electricity.
The floods in Peshawar, Nowshera and Charsadda will also be controlled, and more than 6,000 people will get jobs.
Construction of Mohmand Dam is underway in Mohmand tribal district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The construction of Mohmand Dam will generate 800 MW of cheap electricity. The total cost of construction of the dam will be more than Rs 309 billion.
The delegation led by former Punjab Governor Lt. Gen. Khalid Maqbool visited Mohmand Dam. According to WAPDA Chairman Lt. Gen. (retd) Muzammil Hussain, the dam will provide 300 million gallons of drinking water daily to Peshawar. The dam will be completed by 2025.
The construction of Mohmand Dam will be completed in five years and eight months and more than 6,000 people will get jobs.
