After a thrilling match in the 11th match of PSL, Lahore Qalandars defeated Karachi Kings.

Fakhr Zaman and Sohail Akhtar started batting for Lahore Qalandar. Lahore Qalandars had already lost two wickets in the early obver. On the fourth ball, Sohail Akhtar was run out for zero by Emad Wasim, while on the next ball, Mohammad Amir bowled Joe Danley on the dick and showed the way to the pavilion.

Qalandar’s third wicket fell on the team’s score of 33 in the fifth over. Muhammad Hafeez Waqas Maqsood was caught on the ball, he scored 15 runs off 9 balls.

Opener Fakhr Zaman and fifth-ranked Ben Dunk supported the team and started beating the bowlers. Ben Dunk hit two sixes and four fours, scoring 47 off 35 balls before the team’s total reached 136 at the end of the 15th over.

Fakhr Zaman and Ben Dunk weighed heavily on the Karachi Kings and the pace at which they were playing was definitely lead to the victory for Lahore Qalandar.

In the 18th over, Fakhr Zaman caught Babar Azam off Christian’s ball for 83 runs. Fakhr Zaman scored 83 off 54 balls with 4 sixes and 8 fours.

In the 18th over, Fakhr Zaman was followed by David Wiese on the wicket while Ben Dunk was on the crease.

Batting Karachi Kings:

The Karachi Kings suffered a huge loss at the start of the innings when Babar Azam was bowled by Shaheen Afridi for just five runs in the fifth ball of the third over. Thus, the first wicket of Karachi Kings fell on the score of 20.

Karachi Kings lost two wickets in the first five overs of the innings. Karachi Kings batsman Joe Clarke was run out by Horse Rauf on the fifth ball of the fifth over while Ahmed Daniel clean bowled Colin Ingram on the next ball. Karachi Kings lost 3 wickets at a score of 37.

In the 10th over, Karachi Kings’ Sharjeel Khan hit a six and completed a half-century off 35 balls. After completing 10 overs, Karachi Kings completed the score of 86 runs for 3 wickets.

In the 17th over, Kings’ 162 for the sixth wicket was caught by David Wesa off Emad Wasim Safar. In the same over, David Christian also returned to the pavilion with a score of 176. He was run out by Patil on the ball of Shaheen Shah Afridi. David scored 27 off 14 balls, including five fours.

Shaheen Afridi took two wickets off two consecutive balls. Waqas Maqsood on the score of 184 and Muhammad Amir on the score of 185 were sent to the pavilion.

Thus, Karachi Kings scored 186 runs for the loss of nine wickets while playing all 20 overs.

On the bowling side, Shaheen Afridi of Lahore Qalandars took three wickets, Haris Rauf, Ahmed Danial, David Wiese and Samat Patil took one wicket each while Hafeez could not get any wickets.

Four points for both teams on the points table

It should be noted that both the teams are equal with 4.4 points in the points table but based on the run rate, Karachi Kings has the lead. Both have played 3.3 matches in the event so far and both have won 2.2 matches and lost one match each.

Karachi Kings had managed to defeat Multan Sultans by 7 wickets in their previous match thanks to Babar Azam’s 90 runs while Lahore Qalandars had lost to Multan Sultans in their previous match.
